Atheists and God

Jesus is coming soon

Every time I mention atheists in a post, they come out of the woodwork snarling.  I don’t enjoy that at all, but today my thoughts are about the atheist group in Oklahoma who was so highly offended by the statue of the 10 Commandments, they felt the need to sue.  They lost their case and now the statue lays in a pile of rubble.

The man who urinated on the 10 Commandment statue in Oklahoma & then ran it over with his vehicle was an atheist.  He also said that “Satan made him do it.”  He believes Satan exists, but God doesn’t??

We know someone who is a liberal and does not believe in God, yet swears she has ghosts in her house.  (Crazy train, ticket for one.)

So my question is this.  If you absolutely cannot bring yourself to believe in God, Jesus, Heaven and the angels…. why is it so easy for you to believe that there are ghosts?  Why do you believe in Satan?

The person we know claims to be so into science, that she cannot believe in both science and God (or whatever the scientific standpoint argument is)…. OK.  So you’re so scientific-minded, so brilliant, you cannot comprehend that God exists.  You believe in evolution or the big bang theory. No such thing as God, Jesus, Angels, Heaven, etc….  BUT, you believe in ghosts??  Doesn’t that just toss your whole theory out the window?

I think I know the answer here.  These people fear God.  They dismiss Him, don’t want to talk about Him, change the subject.  Just as the man who ran down the 10 commandment statue… why so much anger and avoidance over something you don’t believe in? And how very sad to have more faith in Satan’s existence, but you just cannot believe that God does.  These are the lost souls on this earth.

The ACLU and other atheist groups are on a rampage, wanting crosses and any other religious memorials or statues removed because it offends them.  What are they so afraid of?  If you don’t believe it’s real, why the intense anger?

When I was a child, Transcendental Meditation was the big thing.  My Mom worked for someone who was thoroughly into TM.  He would meditate every day, believed in levitation and even felt walking through walls was possible.  YET…. he did not believe in God.  At all.  We were Christians.   We didn’t believe in any of that stuff, but it didn’t make us angry.  We didn’t seek to shut him down from his daily meditation or comments about TM.  Why?  Because we didn’t believe in it.  In fact, we didn’t give it much thought at all.  It was irrelevant.  So why do atheists, who dismiss God’s existence become so angry when He is mentioned?  Why the hatred and malicious behavior?

There are many people in this world.  Many different beliefs.  We are all free to make our own choices and nobody should be bullied into a corner for what they do believe. Ironically the anti-bullying, tolerant liberal atheists are the biggest bullies and the most intolerant of all.  No surprise there.

One thing is certain.  When Jesus returns, everyone will believe.  Every knee shall bow. ~~Sister Patriot

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;  And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. ~Isaiah 52:10-11 (KJV)

I’m a lifelong conservative, but was an atheist in college. Never once did I try to tell someone of faith that they were wrong or never did I get offended when someone offered to pray for me. I respected their beliefs as their own, and never tried to force mine on them.

Cultural Marxism has given rise to the militant atheists who want their rights over the rights of the religious. The only way they will be stopped is for people of faith to stand for what they believe in and not back down to activist judges.

  2. Excellent dear Sister Patriot!! I cannot understand how one can be “offended” by something (someone) for which they do not “believe”. And why the lives of others are such a concern to them? These are the same individuals who do not want “Christians” and other “religious people” in their lives, so why do they feel such a need to “intrude” in ours?

Personally when I am outraged by something, I always question my feelings and possible personal motives first. Atheists should ask why “GOD” angers them to the point of such hatred and outrageous actions?

In regard to science, there are many Christian scientists and in fact there has been scientific discoveries which point to the existence of God.

    • Thank you Chelene! Whenever people get angered by God & react with such venom toward Christians, I always am reminded of how we know Satan quakes at the very mention of God’s name. It’s an interesting comparison. ~~SP
