No, Christianity is not a “hate group”…

Well, after my last blog update, “Chick-fil-A and the Hypocrisy of the Left”, I received some pretty angry messages from people who I’d “offended”.  They all had basically the same message which was that “Chick-fil-A  is not only anti-gay, their charitable organization donates millions of dollars to anti-gay and hate groups.”
OK.  Here are the facts.  Chick-fil-A has a charitable organization called, “The WinShape Foundation”.  The following is taken directly from their website:

Truett Cathy believes leadership is vital to the success of our country. Developing future leaders among youth has been one of Truett’s chief priorities throughout his more than 60 years in business.

Nothing demonstrates this commitment as well as the WinShape Foundation. Created in 1984 to help “shape winners,” the foundation supports a variety of programs, including a long-term foster care program, a summer camp for more than 1,900 children each year, a scholarship program in conjunction with Berry College and marriage enrichment retreats.

Well, sounds pretty evil and hateful to me.

One comment I received from an unhappy reader insisted that the WinShape Foundation funded hate groups such as Focus on the Family and other Christian organizations.  Sorry to break it to them, but those aren’t “hate groups”.  Just because they believe the opposite of what you do, does not mean their opinion is “hateful”.  There are all sorts of people in this world that are hateful.  People that commit crimes against others for whatever reasons or no reasons at all.  That is hate.  To be very honest, since starting Sister Patriot, between this blog and my Sister Patriot Facebook page, I have seen more hatred than I have in a long time.  It all comes from the left.  So to the people upset with my last blog update, I am truly sorry that you feel the way you do.  But to be angry at Dan Cathy of Chick-fil-A for expressing honestly that he believes in the Holy Bible and God’s laws for marriage between a man and a woman or to go after a Conservative on a social networking site or blog because you have differing opinions is sad.  Spend your time more wisely by going after the real hate-filled people who prey on innocent souls going about their daily business.

And just to sum up here, aside from the leftist hatefulness once in a while, Sister Patriot is growing like crazy!  I am meeting a huge amount of Conservatives across this country who are real Patriots!  These are people who love the U.S.A. and are speaking up to protect our Freedom.  It has been a wonderful experience overall and I am proud to meet so many stellar Americans whose voices are joining mine in our fight!  Election Day is coming soon!  We need to band together now more than ever!  Let’s do this!

I cannot agree more. It’s funny how the left is always accusing others of the behavior they engage in. Together, we will take our country back!
